Sorry for the dumb question, but can someone clarify what is meant by “cloud gaming”? Is this referring to playing online through Xbox Live? Like just hopping on to play Halo or Forza online? Or is this referring to that service where the game itself is running in the cloud on their servers and is in a sense streaming to you?

The 2nd one. The game runs on a server somewhere and you stream the game to your device.

Which always lags so much that it feels like this brain slowness that I have during a bad hangover. And that's all wired on fiber. This must be unplayable for a lot of people who don't have that luxury.

If I cannot play offline at some point in the future, that will be the moment I have to find another hobby. Not gonna pay for this.
