Xbox and PlayStation are speedrunning to see who the most anti-consumer it seems

The entire tech industry is in this speedrun. They realized that if they dump all their resources into datacenters for AI, they can just keep circlejerking themselves with AI slop while siphoning money from private credit that after some gymnastics comes from our own retirement portfolios. Smile!

Xbox just won. But then again they haven’t been thinking of customers ever. They wanted to buy up a majority and then force us to pay them monthly while disregarding quality

Pricing time spent on cloud game is bad yeah, but xbox doesn't have as much pull in the industry as PS pushing toward ending owning your games by discontinuing discs or Nintendo listing Mario cart world for $80 dollars. AAA game pricing has gone up since then and like PS, xbox and maybe even Nintendo will stop producing physical media because the competition is doing it. So no one's actually winning, as the trend right now is dog piling being awful instead of being a actively better choice for the consumer over another.

This carpet pull from Microsoft is, to say the least, a daring move.
