First they take away physical games media.

Then they push digital only.

Then they push subscription only.

Then they limit your play time for a paid subscription.

Then they introduce ads into your limited play time, while increasing the monthly cost.

Screw everyone who is OK with the death of physical media.

As this has been repeated 1000x, it’s not about physical media, it’s about OWNERSHIP. Whether digital or physical, we should be able to own our fucking games.

And yes, that includes Steam! I dont care how much everyone loves wholesome big chungus Gabe, it’s bullshit those purchases are locked behind a service too!

And yet we have been on this step for like 20 years on PC. Mobile didnt even had physical games media. Nobody is pushing subscription only on either.

And selling full games on playstation (as in the same as disc games) started 17 years ago. Buying digital games is nothing new at all.

It's been like a month and people are still going with this shit. They didn't kill physical media, the majority of the userbase did. It's not some big conspiracy, most people outside of echo chambers like reddit and social media found out it was easier and cheaper to get digital games, so they moved to that. Now that a minority that are still bitching about physical media is being left behind they're all shocked_pikachu.jpg.
