I missed the 2nd kick, but that NPC was astonished that Edward just invented football.
Btw, the physics in this game are blowing my mind, every piece of fruit can be moved or kicked around, if you break a basket they roll all over the place.

(Sound on for full comedy effect) This transform hierarchy glitch happened at the tail of preparations for my first private playtesting phase. I happened to be listening to the song "Morning Accept" by Hello Meteor at the time, and the music lined up perfectly.

The reason this is blurry is because this isn't emulated, it's running on an actual PSP, and the footage was captured from the component video output cable.

Laser needed to activate "quartz crystals", all connected crystals must be hit by laser simultanously to charge up, and connects into trigger system for moving/rotating polygons (opening gates in this example). Lasers can split into pieces from corners/concave lenses.
For the most part, that means finding the correct position/angle to fire laser, however it could get tricky if you must also follow moving platforms/lenses, position your own portals, etc.
The second idea of course is burning stuff down - all terrain can be destructible, but you may need to focus laser stronger through a convex lens.
I have some other physics system like fluid/steam simulation, so lasers could also do some evaporation.
Aiming for 2026 release for Lost Ball.

I needed the player to have a soft spot to land on, and something solid/static just seemed wrong... So I spent way more time on this than I probably should have, for a silly little feature...
But I feel it was worth it. I can't stop to roll around in it now.

Hi everyone! We're a small indie team working on Her Last Wish. It's a physics puzzle game in a vintage cardboard cutout style.
It tells the story of the main character's late wife's dying wish. He has to take care of a strange creature that lives in a cave near their home, and deliver food to it by solving physics puzzles. There are no timers or penalties for mistakes, you can restart instantly and just take your time experimenting.
We'd love to hear your feedback ❤️
