Mike Rogers is a fraud!
Really? Bro threw on a UM pullover for his political ad attacking an actual UM graduate... Clearly an attempt to mislead voters into thinking that he is somehow affiliated with the university. Dude earned a bachelor's from Adrian and has a home in Florida. Not taking anything away from Adrian - very fine school and one that graduates should be proud. Instead this geriatric bozo repped the rival of his wife's Alma Mater? GTFOH you disloyal, disrespectful, carpetbagging SOB!

Long term temp contracts
They're so insidious and from my experience should not be allowed. There is zero reason why someone should be at a job for over a year and still not have the benefits and insurance that comes with that job. And if they have to renew the contract every 3 months, there should be a cap on the number of renewals before they just have to hire them in imo. Ann Arbor is really bad about this

Anyone out there swim laps at Fuller Pool?
I usually swim at the Y but it is closed this week. I want to try swimming at Fuller but I have some severe social anxiety. It looks like Fuller Pool has rules I am not used to, and that has my anxiety in overdrive. At the Y, if 2 people share a lane, we split the lane. At Fuller, it looks like the rule/norm is circle swimming.
If you have experience with this, how does it work? Specifically, how do you decide what lane to pick? Sometimes I swim fast, sometimes I swim slow, sometimes I do drills. It depends on where I am in my workout. So it doesn't seem as simple as finding a lane where someone is swimming at your same pace.
If you do end up swimming faster or slower than others in your lane, what's the norm around passing?
If I go at 7 am, what's the chance that I will have a lane to myself or with just 1 other person?
Thanks for any help. I know these don't seem like big issues to many, but my anxiety around them is debilitating. Ironically, exercise helps, which is why I am asking for help on this. Thanks

Quality car detailing places or people you may know?
Looking to have my car detailed. Looking for a quality detailing, and not just shiny, oily sprays to cover everything up. I’d appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Established band seeking Sax/Flute - smooth and funky style
Our Ann Arbor Area - based band is reaching new levels of both smooth and funky. And just getting into a lot of fun music.
We are looking for ideally a multi-instrumentalist who can play both sax and flute, but would be happy to meet you if you only play one of those really well. The goal is a great-sounding musical and tight band with plenty of room for improv but also some tightly rehearsed parts. Funk, soul, jazz-adjacent fusion is the main neighborhood but will often we will also pay a visit to a well-known pop song or two (played in our own style, of course!)
You should be able to play solos over uncomplicated changes without strain, change keys without heartache, have a good musical tone and sensibility, and be able to fairly quickly pick out parts from recordings and harmonize as needed.
We rehearse approximately weekly and play out about 1x per month. We are constantly learning new music to keep it all fresh.
Please send an email to us at [velvetwalrus1@gmail.com](mailto:velvetwalrus1@gmail.com) with a little about you and a way to make contact. Cheers,

Outdoor cat?
Saw this little guy (actually didn’t see what gender) in a parking lot on Packard today. It has an AirTag on its collar so it may be an outdoor cat? But we wanted to check here to make sure it wasn’t somebody’s missing cat! Very friendly and was just a bit skittish.

Michigan medicine parking
Actually how bad is the parking at U of M hospitals? Specifically for nurses/medical staff. Currently working at St Joes and love the huge free parking lots, but it’s getting bad there and I’m trying to get out.
I’ve interviewed at U of M before but always hear horror stories of either having to show up an hour before your shift to park close and having to pay a big annual fee for a parking pass, or paying the patient visitor fees to find a spot.

Not User Friendly City! AT ALL!
What the heck is going on with these damn buses?! They never show up and for being the “richest city in Michigan” and can’t even have adequate user friendly infrastructure. the public transportation is such ass. I lived in Detroit they are WAY poorer and they still have 2 bus lines (DDOT & SMART) and still show up every 15-60 mins like tf? And blake transit center been closed since May and NO ONE even started construction on it. Like wtf? You’d think they’d have a user friendly city since it’s a “college town” epic fail. Disappointing seeing these signs saying “Ann arbor is worth the work” I mean IS IT?! Such an embarrassment for a really rich city. SMH
