1. The entire slide deck is AI slop that was never proofed. Blocks of gibberish text and nonsensical visuals. How senior leaders can stand on a stage with that mess behind them is mind-blowing.

2. All of the lessons learned from Iraq and Afghanistan have either been forgotten or ignored. The "way forward" is made up of things we were talking about in '01-'03.

If you’re going to take a PT test while it’s blazing hot in most places for the next couple weeks, make sure you go to the gym that you will take the test at, and see what it feels like inside.

I just ran the 2 mile inside thinking it wouldn’t be too bad. It was like 89 degrees inside the gym and close to 100 outdoors.

I got an 87 on my test and didn’t complain about the temp, but you need to gauge how hot it’s going to be inside for your cardio portion of the test.

If you have some time and/or are taking a diagnostic soon, you might want to consider pushing it back a week or two if your base’s gym doesn’t have good AC.

Guy at Luke AFB could no longer afford his car note(not a Charger if you can believe it). He decided to set it on fire and claim it on insurance as a loss. He drove to an open place and poured gasoline on it and set it on fire. He also accidentally set himself on fire and had to take his clothes off. He then walked to a friend's house in just his boxers.

When he got to his friends house, he realized he had 2nd degree burns on his body and face so he called 911. Went to the emergency room and overheard the police investigating a car fire. Putting the two together, he made up this elaborate story that he was kidnapped and the kidnappers made him set his car on fire. Eventually he confessed and got the boot.

Been at a certain base that’s been getting hammered w missiles for some time now. I have friends out here (cant seem to keep a girl lol) but for some reason I just always want to be alone. But I also get in my head the most when im alone. Also getting major FOMO from back in the states, whilst also feeling like nothing really matters back home cause of what’s happening out here. I say I miss all my people back home, but any chance I get to call them I say i convince myself im busy or too tired. Now we’re hearing that extension is likely and it’s just a lot. Anyone else felt like this? How would yall spend yalls days out here

I’m currently stationed at Osan and have an assignment to Morón AB, Spain, with an approved follow-on to Ramstein AB, Germany.
I want to keep Morón, but I no longer want the Ramstein follow-on. My plan is to stay at Morón and potentially OTEIP there instead. I submitted a request through MyFSS to cancel the follow-on because apparently the Ramstein follow-on needs to be removed before my Morón orders can finish processing.
The part that has me worried is the wording on the MyFSS cancellation form. It says something along the lines of:
“You are requesting to cancel your approved voluntary Home-Basing (HB) and Follow-On (FO) Assignment Program assignment to MORON AB.”
Then the checkbox says “Cancel My Voluntary Assignment.”
In my justification I specifically wrote that I’m requesting Ramstein to be canceled because I plan to OTEIP at Morón, but the way the form is worded makes it sound like I’m requesting cancellation of Morón itself.
Has anyone dealt with this before? When you cancel an approved follow-on through MyFSS, does the system show the current/primary assignment (Morón) because that’s what the follow-on is attached to, even though AFPC will only cancel the Ramstein follow-on?
Mainly trying to make sure I didn’t accidentally submit something that could cancel my Morón assignment. Anyone from assignments/MPF/AFPC or anyone who has canceled a follow-on before have any insight?

The scores are broken down by total shuttles run, but when you run they announce your shuttle by level and amount done that level.

The only issue is, the levels are not even i.e. every level has 10 shuttles.

Instead they got this silly ass arbitrary amount of shuttles per level that don't have any discernable pattern. This chart breaks it down by total shuttles per level of shuttle.

Genuine question. I know the form 4392 is required for Leave, TDYs and PCS if you’re under 26. But for years I was told it’s also needed for “extended” weekends. So anytime there’s a federal holiday before or after the weekend it needs to be filled out. Is there an AFI about this or is it one of those it used to be policy and now we just always do it.

Obviously if my CC wants it done I’m doing it. It’s not something I’m going to fight. I’m more just curious on how it became the norm.

There’s a lot of differing opinions and interpretations of the regulation. Some places are only letting members do a diagnostic the month prior, others are allowing them all the way up to the 31st of the due month.

What is your base/squadron doing?

I’m currently a Reservist in the process of transitioning to Active Duty through the PS process. I received a list of available AFSCs. However, I was informed that I need CFM approval before I can continue with the process, even though the position is listed as a Direct Duty.
Does anyone know what exactly is required to request CFM approval? Is there a specific process, package, memorandum, or chain of communication that needs to happen?
I’m trying to figure out who initiates the request and what information the CFM needs in order to approve it. Any guidance from someone who has gone through a similar process, especially transitioning from the Reserve to Active Duty, would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone, I am looking for guidance.

I’ve been in the ANG for 4 years of my 6 year enlistment and I have decided that going AD might bet the best move for me for many different reasons. I’ve tried several recruiters but they all end up telling me there’s nothing they could do to help me, or just straight up ghost me. I understand it’s going to be a long process and I just feel helpless. Is there anyone with more info on how to navigate this? Thank you in advance

Lately I’ve created a playlist of songs I absolutely hate and can’t stop playing it until I’ve finished my 2 mile. It was 3 Benson Boone songs on loop and I ran my 2 miles in 13:45 on my pt test. It really motivated me to finish faster so I could stop listening to it.
