If you are going to attempt to remove optics screws from your slide whether they are holding on a cover plate or an optic USE HEAT! If you own a soldering iron you have the tool to do this and it take less than a minute. If not you can purchase a cheap wood burning kit from Walmart and do the same thing. Also invest in a set of quality extended Torx or Allen bits. These extended bits keep your thicker driver shaft off your optics housing. Masking tape is also a great guard against contact as well. Heat the screw head with the soldering iron or wood burner ( a pointed tip is best) for a minute. The with the proper tight fitting bit back out the screw. Clean off the old loctite and wipe out the hole and screw with a Q tip and alcohol. It’s that easy and will save you cash and headaches.

Always been a Glock guy but my buddy has a Xmacro comp and I love it. Saw this for $600 new while standard Xmacro comp is $800+ couldn’t pass it up. Sharks Coast Tactical Junebug. Still figuring out that light and optic I want on it but the Olight and Holosun 407k work well so far. Going to replace magazine and slide release as well and get a magwell.

Just picked up the equinox, really got it for the grip frame but with elite pricing it made sense to buy the whole package. I either want to keep both or find a way to make this log jam I got going on work . I got a ported barrel on my 3.1” slide but I run it a lot with the radian. Now I got the equinox “macro” slide and don’t know what to do with it. I guess it’s not a bad problem to have. Might turn it into a macro with the purchase of a grip module but I’m up In the air! There’s something super sexy about the 3.1” on the new axg grip module, it just works!

Another day of being older, got this for myself. My 1st Sig, went with the P365 xMacro comp from a local retailer. Since it’s tax free on hunting supplies where I live, accessories were a must. Added the Foxtrot1x wml and Romeo MDC optic.

Been putting together my SIG MCX SPEAR .308 setup and I think I’m finally getting close to where I want it.
Multicam SPEAR with my optic and light setup. I’ve been spending more time actually getting reps in with it instead of constantly changing things around.
The SPEAR is definitely not a lightweight, but there’s something about this rifle that makes me want to keep bringing it back to the range.
For the other MCX/SPEAR owners — what upgrade made the biggest difference to your setup?

Anybody have any experience with ammo? Particularly what subs run well with this setup?
r/SigSauer • u/bernywalters • 16h ago
Bought an sig from my neighbor a while back and he’s had this holster. I know the basics of it and last time i searched there was minimal info on it.
Is it worth much? Practical?

I’ve been using and carrying a P229 Legion DA/SA now for 3 years and I’m looking into some upgrades. I only recently added the Romeo X Enclosed Circle Dot and holy was that a game changer! I’m currently looking into getting a Gray Guns flat/straight adjustable trigger for both the look and feel but was also wondering since I’m at it, what other upgrades do you all (absolutely) recommend? This will be my EDC and home defense pistol so reliability is my top priority for sure.

I got the SIG OEM comp slide in and added a DPM tuning kit. I'll be testing it out tomorrow but here's how it looks.
Also, two tone cerakote suggestions?

Getting comfortable shooting for now at the 100-500 range with my scope (as it is an 5 mark BDC) but I would love to here from other experience shooters what would be the next scope or even rifle suggestion? Do you guys run lights or not (since technically you are being used for longer shots). I have been looking at sigs more high tier scope line and as vortex; for rifles I have been looking at an 6arc SPR build but please any advice and suggestions would be appreciated!
(Don’t worry the cant red dot is not staying for long have mercy please; and I have order a new pressure pad system for the light..absolutely hated those rubber ones it came with)

Long time range buddy, first time Itc holder.
Looking to purchase my first two pistols, one for 9mm and one 22lr. Heavily biased towards sig pistols so I'm posting here.
For 9mm I'm absolutely infatuated with p226's since I always used them in games. Looking towards the P226 Elite since it has the classic feel, yet optics ready, and its E2 grip isn't bad for my stubby 5'4 gnome hands.
For 22lr I'm a bit dumbfounded. In another reality where the Sig Mosquito wasn't dogshit it would be a one and done as a mini p226, but here we are.
Anyone have any recommendations? Reasons not to get the P226 Elite?

looking at getting or trading for a 365. But there are so many variants. Where would you point someone to go? I love the capacity of the macro. I have large to XL size hands. Plan to carry it. and I eventually want to put a grip on it like I see from Icarus.
just looking for some help.

I think I’m leaning towards the Stainless slide with the black frame. What do you think?

Just added the Tango MSR 1-6x to my SDI. Haven’t had the chance to get it dialed in yet but I am STOKED to get it out on the range. Any of yall here have experience with this sight? Good, bad, ugly.

What’s up everyone, I’m trading my shadow systems cr920xp in this weekend toward an x macro. I’ve used macros in the past and loved them, I’ve used alot of different setups as well. My question is, if I get enough from my trade, do I go with a legion macro? Is the legion worth the extra money or do I just get a polymer and build it out like I’ve done in the past? I’ve never owned a legion which is why I wanted to ask for input.

Last year I purchased an P 365 Legion. First of all, I love this gun. It’s great to shoot and I love how easy it is to conceal plus it holds 17 rounds. However, I am having a couple issues. I thought I would come to this group for suggestions on what to do.
1) I have had consistent issues with the slide not , locking back once the last round is fired and the chamber is empty. I thought it was a magazine issue because it did it more with one magazine than the other. When I changed magazines, it stopped for a while, but it has now started on the other magazine.
2) recently, the barrel has been very difficult to get out of the gun when I clean it. It appears if one of the parts has moved inward, blocking the space where the barrel needs to slide back to pull out. Pictures attached.
