Recently had to put our sweetest girl down. I was never a dog person and she completely changed that. Now I know not only will we always (well, not for a bit now but eventually again someday) have a dog around but it will definitely be pit again. She was the sweetest, gentlest friend, who never met another dog or person she didn’t love. She had a first rough year of life, she had a litter before we even got her and we got her at barely a year old. Then we had 11.5 beautiful, amazing years with her.
She made it through TPLO surgery, but besides that didn’t have many health issues until the very end. The doctor assumed it was some kind of cancer bc her liver and kidneys both were failing. Once the seizures started and her hips started going out we knew it was time.
I’m thankful we were able have her leave us at home, while we held her, told her we loved her and I let her know how thankful we were for ALL that she did for us.
She’ll never really know how much and how completely I love her.
Miss you forever Ellie.
