this has been a few years in the making and it's still being refined as i use it and find easier ways of writing certain letters but i really wanted to share and get feedback at this point.

i follow the usual english grammar rules with a few changes:

- in mixed case writing where there are capital letters they are doubled even if the word is only two letters long
- there are different ways of writing certain letters when the subject requires respect, e.g. names, titles, important things (this one is still being worked out as to all that would require these letters), to not use these can be a great offense depending on the situation

there are two ways of writing:

- Tapa Gazeil - this is all caps and is the most casual and prominent form of writing, however it is seen as 'lower class' and unproffessional in many places. it is the first way of writing taught as it's the most accessible with less letters to remember and less rules about what cases go where

- Speir Gazeil - this mixes the cases, the higher classes use this always, as do more 'formal' professions such as doctors, scientists, politicians etc. it is also taught and used in higher learning and is always used in documents and contracts regardless of who will use them

when writing a signiture it's common to join bits of the letters similar to cursive but there is no standardised way of doing this, this is only used for signitures and decorative purposes and isnt a way to write normally

they use grids for writing rather than lines the majority of the time

the alien language is just a mix of scottish gaelic, english, irish, and completely made up words i pick purely based on what i think sounds best and looks better when written with my alphabet and sometimes i double letters in words if i think it looks good, the project i'm using it in is a mostly artistic one and so the writing has to be aesthetic as well as functional.

So, I'm working on a script just this afternoon and I can't choose which one's better, A or B?

Both are Top-Down Left-Right scripts.

Nysruul is primarily an abugida that can also be used as an abjad. It uses Six types of characters: Initial, medical and final consonants and a wovel holder; wovel diacritics for dipthongs and monothongs that are placed below the consonants; diacritics for dead consonants that are placed above the main consonants and two special diacritics that double the consonants and add aspiration to them.

This is the third and final blocksheet for Sigaen, this was just a little activity for myself so I could confront where I was going wrong and wrap my head around how the overall vibe should look.

I must say I really enjoyed this, and I’ve gotten lots of cool advice from lots of cool people along the way, but for now I’m leaving it there because it is taking up way too much time especially when I have more important things to focus on. Me? Procrastinating? NEVER!!!

This letter is called a "skeleton letter". The exact concept of how it behaves and functions is only found in Kelangkai 🇮🇩 (as far as I know).

I will have to try again, but at least this is what I have for now; the quality still needs improvement.

I created a crappy Fontstruct font just over ten years ago and have been dealing with it since. Yesterday I finally learned how to use Fontforge and here are the results!

From a shield... to a wheel.

How different root words from two languages ended up meaning a lot of things; not to mention, but the root \*krakhug also gave the word for "plate, flat bowl" in Qē (*kạkū* /ka˧ku˩/).

Two different language families are sharing the North-Eastern lands of Vaosko and the Slekkan archiepelago (also natively called Phuẓúṣų́ in Ṇaka): the Uᵹhūde languages, whose ancestor language is Qheon, an uvular-heavy language, and the Kųngikk languages, descendants of Ikungikkak, a language whose clusters might just make any linguist trying to reconstruct them completely crazy.

The script used here is called Qhwasi, ᵹynou or ḍỹou. It is mainly an Uᵹhūde based script, but as time went, it spread eastward, even though it was stopped by the Quantaans (unseen on this map, in the southern grey area). It's a font. (I use Illustrator and Fontforge, if you are wondering). It is a descendant of the Aqhrobvian script, even though i haven't mapped the links correctly between the glyphs yet. It is also partially influenced by Sker, a script more known to the Skerzdid peoples.

Ever since I saw a post from u/iamdiego21 showing the iberian runes from the 5th to 3rd century bc (I think), I've been investigating about how they work and wondered how they would've evolved had they not been replaced by the latin alphabet. This is the result of that investigation. I used the non-dual northeastern iberian script because of Tarraco being the base of operations for the Roman conquest of Hispania, and if they were willing to have a new script for the province, it would be the one they had the most contact with.

The text I use to expose the script starts with a catalan pangram, and then adds another sentence to show the rest of the syllabary:
"Despús-ahir el pingüí bèl·lic atenyé aïrat l'emú esquifit i menjà zelós xoriç, òvid i kiwi. En una cita a un poble cacerenc amb un pamplonés iruñés, glados agafà una copa a tutiplén"

In case someone is curious about the meaning of the text, it's: The day before yesterday an aggressive penguin got angrily to the thin emu and ate jealously chorizo, egg-based and kiwi. At a date in a village in Caceres with an iruñés man from Pamplona (Pamplona is Iruña in basque), glados rose a glass plentifully.
