I am excited for another tag fighter! Blade looks crazy fun

u/MentosBrentos

I'm excited to get back into playing a fighting game after a long break I took. I put multiplayer games on hiatus because life became really busy but I haven't been this excited for a fighting game for years.

u/phorealz

I'm excited for Iron Man's new Gundam design

u/Jumpy_Candle_1176

I'm super excited for this game, since the only fighting game I've played is Smash. I'm really looking forward to learning the controls of the game and figuring out how each character works.

u/Due_Secretary1696

I can't wait to try out Magik. She's giving off extreme Janemba vibes from DB Fighterz.

Discussion If they give Cyclops his classic suit as an alt skin, that intro where he comes out of a pillar of fire is gonna become a bit weird.

The thought of Scott doing a fruity bird pose and having fireballs when he could just use his laser, I hope his moveset is still mostly beam based

Question Anybody else constantly getting the same opponents over and over again?

It doesn’t happen for me in other fighting games so I’m wondering if this is a common thing. I keep fighting the same one or two people for a bunch of matches, leave for a few hours, and come back to fight a different couple of people for the next dozen games.

Question Any notice the name is spelled wrong?

While pitting Spidey vs Spidey they mention names. One mentioned Kaine which is one of the clones but it’s not spelled correctly. In the game it says Cane but his name is actually Kaine. Just noticed it yesterday.

Question Tips from Wolverine mains that do well in rank. What makes you win? Need suggestions

I am trying to main Logan simply because I like his character and his rushdown archetype. I don’t want to play meta characters simply to win. My team is Wolverine, Spiderman (just for his assist and looks, never tag into him), ghost rider (which i find most success with) and magneto (never tag, but love the character and his back assist).

However I find myself struggling to close the gap against long range characters like doom. I finished Survival with GR so I am very familiar and comfortable with his gameplay and I like him too, but when things are not going well in a match I find myself many times tagging into GR on later rounds to close the win. I hate doing that. I’m betraying myself, and Wolverine. Unforgivable.

This also means that I usually lose first couple of rounds with Wolverine. Which means I am not utilizing him well.

For those of you that do well with him: What is your game plan? What should I do more and what should I avoid doing? Specially against high mobility characters like Spiderman, or those players that spam long range attack like doom, Ironman when they see my Logan? I love GR too but I want to keep him as a last resort and start with Logan.

Also, any recommendations for streamers or player that mains Logan that I could find replies to study?

Thanks!

Edit: typos

Shoutout to the other Champion for posing in-sync for 30 seconds at the start of every match, then giving up a free grab so we could both play the whole set in Install. Best ranked experience thus far. Good luck out there.

Discussion Maybe season 1 team is..... Cosmic Hero/ Anti-Hero team?

Post image
225 Upvotes

Maybe if you think deeply... There are indications that the Season 1 team in Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is not Phoenix Five. maybe something Cosmic theme relate?

1.) First, Phoenix Cyclops.

many people think it's not the Phoenix Five. because Magik joined the X-men team, while Colossus and Emma Frost are cameo (Judging from the design, there is no indication to being influenced by phoenix force). (Note: Namor almost absent)

2.) Next, The current speculation points to Moon Knight and Thor (Herald of Thunder).

If you remember, Moon Knight name was accidentally leaked in "Marvel Tokon" comic book alongside Deadpool.

but Thor it's highly likely "Herald of Thunder" version; there is Easter egg detail Galactus helmet on Rainbow Bridge in Asgard stage.

3.) and last, maybe theory the potential character is Venom (Enigma).

Don't worry, it's just a theory for Venom. Maybe it could be another character candidate.

Discussion Really Enjoying This Game, But the Input Reader is Probably the Worst I’ve Ever Experienced in a Fighting Game……

Tokon is becoming one of my favorite recently released fighting games, but oh my goodness the input reader is absolutely terrible. There will be times in online matches where i’ll try to do a special or super and either my character just stands there, i try to dash and my character just walks towards my opponent, or only half of my input gets read and i do the wrong move. I’ve even been in training mode with the input history on and i can visually see the input reader reading my assist or M/H (with the input lit up showing that the input was successful) and nothing happens, but when i spam assist 3 times it finally comes out and even then i only get one assist to actually activate…..

Question Help a begginer in tag games pls!!!!

I need a little help understanding the neutral in this game.

I've never been a fan of tag games. They never really caught my attention, but this one has Magik, my favorite character from the comics, so I had to play it. I have experience with other fighting games and have reached fairly high ranks in SF6 and Tekken, but I simply cannot understand Tokon.

Putting aside the fact that I have to play with 150+ ping basically all the time, I feel like I can never actually play neutral. I'm constantly blocking projectiles, assists, and auto-combos over and over again.

I know how to deal with spam. I know how to play against mashers. I suffered against low-ELO Modern Control Ryu players for way too long not to know how to deal with them, but apparently this game completely shuts down everything I know. I keep losing to lows and overheads constantly, assists that feel impossible to stop, and what feels like an endless amount of projectiles. Most of the time, I simply don't understand what's happening.

I have my neutral combo down: M > cM > H > FB > A. But I just can't seem to find an opening to press my buttons. I always end up blocking the opponent for what feels like the entire match, getting hit by 50/50s over and over, and repeating the same cycle.

And I know the players I'm fighting aren't exactly amazing either, because I literally just won multiple matches by mindlessly spamming LP over and over out of frustration. I don't want to climb by playing like that. I'm genuinely interested in understanding the game itself and learning how I'm actually supposed to play it.

Does anyone have any advice? Maybe some practice drills, specific tips, or anything that could help me understand what I'm supposed to be doing in neutral? I'd really appreciate it.

Question Can you choose if Doom teleports behind when doing the Heavy version of Diplomacy?

When i do EX Diplomacy, he sometime teleports behind the opponent, and other times he stays right in front. This even happens random when im close as well. Is there an additional input for this?

Discussion Is this your first fighting game? Are you enjoying it?

I've been playing fighting games for a few years, mostly starting with Strive.

I've seen a lot of discourse from FG fans about it what they think new players want... But the theories always seem weird, acting like non-FG fans are stupid and can't figure out basic things.

, if you are a new fighting game player, what are you struggling with in the game? Does the game, on a product or mechanical level, feel welcoming to the new crowd? How is your experience?

Basically, how you doing, new players?

Discussion Is it normal that I'm struggling that much in bronze ?

I was expecting bronze to be more up my alley as a beginner but seems like bronze players are cracked at the game too... everything I try to do doesn't work, I get combo'd to death without being able to block or counter... I feel like I have to luck out to be able to do something.

Enlighten me please
