It’s time to comment and vote for your favorite DRUGSTORE beauty items for 2026! This can be new releases and old favorites. We will keep these posts pinned for a week each, then the updated lists will go in the sidebar.

Please see additional information below.

How To:

  • We will post product types as parent comments
  • Name your favorite product in a comment underneath each category/parent comment

PLEASE:

  • Only one product per comment
  • Upvote your favorite products
  • If someone has already posted your favorite product, upvote that comment instead of posting your comment
  • Include specific shade/color when applicable (lipstick shades, blush color etc.)

**Double check that the product you comment has not been discontinued!*\*

Drugstore vs Midrange vs High End:

  • Drugstore: Mass/drugstore brands usually are released with wide distribution at accessible price points and designed for a large audience. Ex. Loreal, Maybelline, Revlon, Milani, Morphe, ColourPop
  • Mid-range: Straddle the line between drugstore and high end. Ex. Urban Decay, Stila, Too Faced, Makeup Forever, MAC, Rare Beauty
  • High-end: Niche, unapologetically expensive, and have more limited distribution/retail presence than mass brands. Also associated with high end fashion brands. Ex. Tom Ford, Chanel, Dior, Giorgio Armani, Cle de Peau, Chantecaille

FOTD Even though im old (ancient) and I've hooded eyes, I still absolutely enjoying doing my eyes the most of all. Felt so good going out for cocktails and dinner, plus a show last night 😊 Even my hair behaved and didn't take long at all.

Eyes by Pat McGrath, large mixed pallet, with Lacome primer, (definitely works best for me) which I always use these days. Normal eye pallet I use is NARS, save my Pat McGrath for special occasions like lastt night, and i always feel thatbit special to normal day type make up!! 🙃

Foundation a mixture of Gosh and other minerals

Blush by Lacome

Lipstick by Gurlain, definitely one of my favourites 😍

Brows & eyes liner MAC

Lip liner MAC, best I've ever used

Never use setting sprays, and my foundation these days is always powder!

Tried Following Advice! (Eyebrows)

Hey everyone! I made a post yesterday with a smokey eye and got feedback to lower the arch in my brows. At the time those pictures were taken in July and I have to agree the arch was quite prominent during that time.

I took some photos today where I tried lowering the arch, let me know what yall think!

I also did a less “heavier” lash, opting for a half lash as well. Tried keeping some eyeshadow as I do like a little hint of an alternative style in my makeup, but let me know what you all think!

The first two pictures are from today, the last two pictures are from yesterday!

(Please disregard my hair-I didn’t get to style it properly before leaving the house!)

Hey all, this tube of mascara is my sister’s absolute favorite but the labeling is all but rubbed off. Does anyone have a clue what brand it is?? She got it years ago and doesn’t remember where/who she received it from. I’ve tried google image searching and I’ve combed eBay but I’m just not super knowledgeable in this area. Appreciate any help, thank you!

Recommendation for good eyeliners?

Post image
6 Upvotes

So, I'm currently using both these eyeliners from L'Oréal and Maybelline. But they are not working very well for me.

They crumble when dry, and I end up with no eyeliner in an hour. And I'm not going to the club or anything, just going about a normal day.

I wanna find one that is gonna get properly stuck but is at the same time forgiving of mistakes, bc I'm a clumsy girly and I often fuck it up and have to star over again.

I always buy my stuff from drugstores. I'm willing to pay more for it if it's gonna be worth it, but I know nothing about brands or how to tell if an eyeliner is gonna be really good or not before I actually wear it.

Please help me 😁 what is your most reliable eyeliner?

Makeup is stressful

I personally think I'm like average at makeup, however the colors and what to use and when always stresses me out so much, I genuinely want to stop going out. (Can defo go out without makeup but I want to wear it and then this stuff makes me just wanna stay home).

Like when to do what? I'm good at a full face for big events but when it comes to brunch, uni, home (I love wearing makeup at home like I love having the same aesthetic there) etc I wanna go for a like sultry grunge look. (think catwoman) but I can't differentiate the intensity and shades and the makeup to use for each look for a certain place and time.

When to use eyeshadow? When to use which color? Cut crease? Glitter? Light or dark smokiness at the end When? (I think thats one of the main things about the look but I dont wanna go overboard) How to make it look different for events, everyday or uni etc? Same thing for lip color? When to use brown lip liner? When to use a same color or darker shade of the lipstick lipliner? When to use contour? When to use whoch blush shade and should I choose it based on what looks good on my skin or just go with what looks good with my outfit? When to use brown or black eyeliner and tightlining?

These are just a few of the questions but when I start a look, I'm literally questioning everything.

Like I know makeup is supposed to be fun and I should do whatever I feel is the best or do whatever I want to.

But see, that doesnt work for me. I am like physically unable to. Its more fun when I know what to do yk? Can anyone help me out? Has anyone faced the same problem?

(to clarify its also not a 'dont care what others think' problem. This doesnt have anything to do with that. I couldn't care less about what others would think. Its more so like an OCD thing)

Discussion Foundation for 40+ oily skin with large pores

Just to give things a bit more perspective: I am a trans woman who didn't bother with ANY skin care until the point of transition at the ripe age of 44, so you can guess how that ended.
I have naturally oily skin with large pores, I sweat like crazy, and even with a decent amount of primer it just doesn't look (subjectively speaking) any smoother. I think the drugstore-class foundations just aren't cutting it, and I might want to look into something more expensive (I am aware expensive doesn't always mean better though).
Currently I have Maybelling Plump&Glow and Nyx Bare with Me Blur. The former doesn't seem to work at all besides somewhat more uniform face colour (and I also don't think glowy finish is what I should use), and the latter is somewhat thicker but seem to only make the pores stand out more.

I do have some nice blushes and lipsticks from NARS and MAC and those brands are kind of sympathetic to me, but I have no idea whether they have any foundation that would work for me.
I also heard good things about Sephora's own line of products.
Someone somewhere also mentioned Make Up Forever, but that's about it.

I don't mind spending money on what I consider probably the most important part of the whole process, but I don't want to blindly throw money out of the window either. The problem is there are SO many brands and products it just makes me dizzy, and I've only been trying to navigate through this horrible chaos of the unknown for a year so you can probably guess how lost I am.

Any tips are welcome.
Thanks.

Hello every one! I was very proud of this look today. It was a summer look, hot pinkish moment. I just had to share!

Nyx butter melt skin tint(medium)
Elf bronzer liquid (5)
Elf liquid blush (lilac)
Elf concealer (24,30,33)
Wet n wild loose powder( translucent)
Black radiance contour pallet (light to medium)
Nyx butta melt blush(hot pink)
Fitme pressed powder (golden)
Chasing rainbows color pop highlighter
Eyelash clusters (Amazon, wispy)
Mascara dollar tree (black)
Elf lip liner (Fuchsia pink )

That’s the whole look in order of being done, I hope you enjoy just as much as it made me feel beautiful! Have a great day/afternoon/night! 😽
