Is there any advantage for gamepad users? Can someone explain to me exactly what this option does?

As the title says, I’m new to fighting games and want to get into Street Fighter. I’ve been trying to play on Fightcade, but every time I join a match, I end up getting completely trashed.

So, I’m looking for someone who’d be willing to play with me, spar regularly, or teach me the basics of the game. I’m mainly looking to learn and improve rather than just getting destroyed in random matches.

Quick question on modding the Mayflash f500 elite. Can you add a spinner and trackball to that fightstick?

I did notice that there is a Fightbox R10 Pro with a spinner and trackball, would that be a better option?

Any other suggested fightsticks that would fit this bill?

I can’t seem to open the training menu or the recording mode.

I manually ran the lua file in Test Game and I bound start and coin inputs but still can’t open training menu. Recording also doesn’t seem to work after following the instructions with coin input. Would appreciate help.

Maybe under the user name or next to it, in a different color font, in a thinner type face, there should be "permanently muted" displayed next to permanently muted users.

Otherwise, other users sometimes think you're being disrespectful to them when you don't answer back to messages.

Really lowers moral and defeats the whole purpose of the measure.

I've started working on OpenFight, an open-source project aimed at building a community-owned arcade netplay platform.

Fightcade has become a huge part of the retro fighting-game scene, so this isn't about pretending it doesn't exist or trashing it. The idea is simply to explore what a modern, fully open implementation could look like.

OpenFight is being developed independently under a clean-room process:

If you've ever thought "there should be an open-source version of this," this is basically what I'm trying to build.

I just downloaded fightcade for the first time and I want to use my fightstick but i can't figure out how to configure it on the input menu. It seems to only recognize the start button but that's it. It's an 8bitdo fighstick BTW. Any advice would be appreciated.

One of the main reasons why the list doesn't have hundreds of games is it can take hours and hours finding the ram addresses.

Why do I need to even bother finding the ram addresses?

Well, so the server can declare a winner from outside the game and do a Player X won banner (and in the future wagered game payouts).

I'm more than happy to accommodate game requests if its possible. If its on the same arcade board as a current game I should be able to do it within 24h.

If its for a (so far) unsupported system it may take longer.

Unfortunately no naomi support yet - that might be simply beyond in-browser emulation capability but please believe me if it becomes possible I will do it because my personal fave 2d fighter is Capcom vs SNK 2!

The fighting games use the arcade versions, and every game also has a solo mode where you can test things out, configure controls, experiment with filters, and get familiar with the site before jumping into a match.

Both players have to accept the cheat before the match starts, so you can do things like play Street Fighter Alpha 3 with unlimited Level 3 supers if both players agree.

I'm experimenting with adding an optional SOL wagering mode to some rooms, where both players could put something like 0.01 SOL into a match and the winner takes the pot!

That will not be enabled until I'm satisfied with the site's reliability and have had enough feedback from people actually using it.

And no, the plan isn't to turn Sol Fighter into a crypto-only site. There will always be free ways to play!

I've been trying to hook up my xbox controller my mac recognizes it but fightcade doesn't so I cant remap the buttons it's weird too because it seems like it recognizes it randomly but when I try and remap it only recognizes joystick/dpad inputs im not sure what the problem is or how to fix it

Hey guys! I’m thinking about buying a new controller mainly for Fightcade, and I’m not sure if I should get a fight stick or a Hitbox/leverless.

I’ve been playing fighting games on keyboard for a long time, but lately I feel like I’m not as precise as I used to be. Back in the arcade days, I was much more comfortable and accurate with a joystick.

For example, I sometimes struggle to consistently perform half-circle motions (HCF/HCB) on keyboard.

My budget is pretty limited, around $35–40 USD, so I’m looking at cheaper options.

Considering my experience, would you recommend going back to a fight stick or trying a Hitbox/leverless?

I’d really appreciate your advice, especially from people who play Fightcade competitively.

An account called paycade is asking me to join them. Idk if theyre legit or not.

i put all the json files in the emulator folder but everytime i get on a lobby the roms don't get downloaded, the cmd just open and closes immediatly, and when i try to test the game it says that a bunch of files are missing

does someone know what i should do?

I recently installed fightcade 5 days ago, and for the first 4 days I was playing Guilty gear Isuka. It was running and working fine. But today, Every time I load up the game and enlarge the window tab to a full screen, the screen glitches out and then it overlaps over itself. I can still hear the audio of the game, but the screen won't display what's happening.
The game won't let me use the training mode without the window just shutting down and not being accessible.
What do I have to do to get the game to work?

If you have black screen error when inviting someone on fightcade just send 2 invites first one gotta be declined and the 2nd one accepted and voila ... Problem fixed ... A player showed me this fix while ago god bless him

Fightcade would open recently on my Mac and suddenly stopped. I reinstalled fightcade and installed the Rosetta update for Intel based apps and still nothing. Obviously also made sure the security was set to run from anywhere and clicked the box to allow fightcade to run anyway. Troubleshot with AI for about 30 mins and still nothing. Any help or tips would be great!
