Collection New elements
Scandium, samarium, and hafnium have been newly added to my element collection. I now have a total of 36 elements. However, while the review photos showed the samarium packaged in an acrylic box, the product I received was sealed in a glass container. I've already reached out to Luciteria about this.

Question Looking for Osmium Advice
I normally don't go on this subreddit asking to discuss potential purchases. However, I was curious about some ebay listings for 10mm x 10mm osmium sheets on ebay from a few different Chinese sellers. I was wondering about the legitimacy of these sellers, particularly because they all seem to use the same image.
Additionally, I was curious about import tariffs. Where would I be able to see how calculate the rates?
Thank you all for any help!

Help Stuck between 2 options
On one hand, id rather not spend that much money on a sample, but on the other hand, the cheaper one is a very tiny piece and the bigger bead is much better value. Im kinda stuck on which to get and osmium is one of my favourite elements.

Help how to get all the lanthanides for cheap?
I saw that i can get all 16 rare earth metals for like $220 from metallium which is better than them each outright, but was wondering if there was any way I could get them for cheaper.
I knew it would probably be around this expensive but still think its a little too high if anything

Discussion AI in the community
Can we please have a rule banning AI images and ideally texts? I don’t think this is the proper place for that kind of content. I much prefer to see other people’s collections.

Help Graphene Oxide seller and other reliable chemical suppliers internationally
Does anyone know of legit suppliers of graphene oxide powder? Badly need it for our thesis study. I already checked Ambeed, most of our needed chemicals were available there except graphene oxide and the zinc nitrate hexahydrate. Also, has anyone tried ordering from graphenea, acs material, nanografi, or cheaptubes? These websites/"suppliers" sell GO but im not sure if they are legit. This is our first time ordering internationally so we really don't know if these suppliers are trusted :">>

Alkaline Earth Metals Alkaline earth metals (Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ra)
I had a surplus of calcium metal shavings of 99,5% purity that annoyed me a bit, as the mineral oil that I used made it a literal hell to use them in any chemical reactions. Having to dry the tiny pieces with paper, then trouble weighing, then some random unexpected smoke or the oil straight up burning.
I decided to clean it with acetone. Surprisingly, acetone is a rather inert solvent for calcium and washes the oil off nicely. I didn't manage to clean off the oxidation neither with citric nor with acetic acid, so I kept them dry and powdery. I sealed some in an ampoule for the collection and I don't think it looks that bad, apart from the oxidation.
So here is a family photo of the Alkaline Earths :)

Noble Metals Old silver bar
An old bar my mum owns, showing a few years of tarnish. Honestly, it doesn't look too bad, i kind of like the coppery look.
