The full extent of the smoke haze situation could not be determined due to cloud cover, while the hotspot situation could be obscured by both clouds and thick smoke haze. Showers prevailed over the northern ASEAN region today, except over the central parts of the Mekong sub-region where it was relatively drier. Hey everyone! I'm now opening Cebu Fiction Readers Club (CFRC)!

After running the Cebu Video Games Club (CVGC), I wanted to create another community with the same idea but centered around fiction and reading.

CFRC is for people who enjoy manga, manhwa, manhua, web novels, light novels, comics, and other forms of fiction.

What is the club like?

The idea is pretty much the same as CVGC: it's a social club, not just a place to talk about your hobby.

We'll have an online community where members can chat, discuss what they're reading, recommend things to each other, join voice calls, play games together, and participate in different activities.

Eventually, we'll also have IRL meetups in Cebu, where members can actually meet each other, hang out, and make friends outside of Discord.

The activities won't necessarily always be about reading either. The main point is to bring people with similar interests together, so there can be movie nights, discussions, games, outings, and other activities that members might enjoy.

The club will also have its own rules, verification system, activities, and meetups, similar to CVGC.

A few important things

You must be 21 or older to join.

Please also don't DM me to join if you're not going to be active. You don't have to be online every day, but I do expect members to actually participate in the community, whether that's chatting, joining discussions, voice calls, activities, or eventually attending meetups.

I regularly remove inactive members and lurkers because I want this to be an actual community where people know and interact with each other, rather than just a Discord server full of people who joined and disappeared.

Got to Hagnaya Port via hired van, we left at 6am. Arrived there around 11-ish. Arrived in Bantayan by 1PM last I checked.

I only arrived with only 200 pesos in my pocket since I used some money for transportation to the port. Sooooo, MJ Square is a no-go to stop there and eat unless you have friends who are willing to share. Just pay it back. Haha. I tried the one that sells Mexican food. It was soooooo good! MJ Square also has a variety of food. There's a coffee shop there, a Korean grocery store, whose owner also sells a handful of rings and other souvenirs. There's a story called Meldy's store who has silogan meals, but they also have seafoods too. They havea boutique and an inn too apparently.

Yes, I may have 200 pesos on my first day, but I was able to book ahead with my sister's help at 4VJ Apartelle. Friendly staff, was able to have conversations with one of them while grabbing FREE coffee. 4VJ is perfect for solo travellers. I picked the standard room, though they do have a solo room. Just picked that one because I'd like a bigger space tbh.

4VJ has two areas: the Main Building and the Extension that's above 360 Pharmacy near MJ Square. I'm in Main, and I spent around 3k for three nights.

Heads up, they do tell you to have P500 deposit in case there are damages. You can choose to waiver it, just try be careful.

While there are ATMs, I do suggest withdrawing while you're in Cebu. If you're unfortunate like me, whose salary arrived later than expected, well just pray at least one of the ATMs worked. During my 2nd day, the PNB one in Sta. Fe wasn't working, the EuroNet ATM only has 1k left. I couldn't dispense another 1k. I was able to withdraw another 1k farther ahead.

But the PNB ATM started to work hours before I went home. So yeah, withdraw ahead if you can.

I didn't get to explore Bantayan proper, but that would be my bucket list when I come back! Due to my commitments at work, told my friends that I need to go ahead. Went home to Cebu via Ceres Bus.
