The resolution, approved Tuesday, called on the healthcare provider to revise its proposed contracts with behavioral health professionals that gave Kaiser the ability to replace therapists with AI, lay off clinicians, and leave them out of decisions about models of care.

Traffic, Trains & Transit Motorcyclist hit by car on SB Hwy 85 (9/2/2026)

Yesterday I witnessed a car hit a motorcyclist on Southbound on Highway 85 at around 6:45 pm. I wasn't able to stop and check on the motorcyclist or send them the footage so I'm posting this in the case they happen to come across this post and need another angle of the incident.

Hoping they are okay and didn't sustain major injuries.

Earthquakes, Weather & Disasters Temporary 9-14 inch sea level rise is coming soon!

The unprecedented southern Pacific warming setting the stage for a massive El NiƱo event will, via a Kelvin wave, drive coastal California waters higher by 9-14" for several weeks.

The explanation: "Here's how the Kelvin wave works: During El NiƱo, tropical trade winds frequently reverse direction and blow out of the west instead of the east, pushing warm water toward the coast of South America. When this water — which is also a foot or so higher than normal — hits the coast, its energy slithers up the Mexico coastline through the Gulf of California, along the U.S. West Coast and all the way to Alaska. The whole process takes months."

Traffic, Trains & Transit Serious Question For The Drivers.

One thing I appreciate about the highways out here is the number of lanes. However, since living out here, I’ve noticed no one seems to understand the whole ā€œleft lane is for passingā€ concept.

People already drive slow as it is, and brake for no reason with half a football field of space in front of them.

I’m curious why this isn’t more common or if it’s just a Bay Area thing. Because I seriously believe the traffic out here is self imposed.

Muttville had a record-breaking month, thanks to NBC's adoption initiative, Clear the Shelters. 145 senior dogs found new homes; here are just a few! Because so many were adopted, Muttville was able to rescue many more. Visit their cage-free space in The Mission, Tues-Sun, 11 to 4, at 750 Florida Street! muttville.org (you don't have to adopt; you can just cuddle dogs, too)

Swung by Dale hardware to pick up some stuff and to my surprise, El Toro Loco is at the front door! I didn't stay to find out why it was here, but interesting to see a monster truck in front of the store. What was the occasion for this one?

Food, Shopping & Services What is everyone eating for lunch these days?

If you eat out at lunch, what do you want to eat and what is your lunch budget?

Even premade sushi roll from the Japanese market was $18.

Food, Shopping & Services How much does everyone tip at a sit-down restaurant these days?

I'm taking an unofficial poll, because pre-pandemic I would tip 15 - 20% at a sit-down restaurant (where the server brings a menu, takes the order, and refills drinks, NOT order at the counter service) but then with the pandemic I upped my usual so that 20% was my standard tip (and more for exceptional service).

These days I hardly eat out anymore, but wondered if I was being too flinty tipping 15%. Please share your tipping journeys!

Events, Activities & Sports Looking for a concert buddy, Have an extra Chainsmokers ticket.

Hey! I’m 23M and recently moved from another state. A little over a month ago, I bought two tickets to see The Chainsmokers at Discovery Meadow on Friday (tmro), September 4. I had just moved here and optimistically thought I’d make some new friends and find someone to invite by the time the concert came around. That hasn’t quite worked out yet, so now I have an extra ticket and don’t want it to go to waste.

I’m not trying to sell it, I’d like to give it to someone around my age (20–25), who genuinely enjoys their music and wants to experience the concert together. This is a platonic concert-buddy post, and I’m open to any gender.
This will actually be my first concert, so I’d also love any advice.

If you’re interested, DM me or comment here with your age, where you’re from, your favorite Chainsmokers song, and a little about yourself. Please have some Reddit history or someway to prove so I know you’re a real person.

I probably won’t be able to reply to everyone. If you don’t hear back from me, it simply means I’ve already found someone, sorry, and thanks for reaching out!

I’m looking to bring someone to a place with a lot of claw machines for their birthday and was wondering if you guys had any recs. I’ve been to Round1 in stonestown, but now I’m in the east bay. Are there any other places, or maybe even another round1, that you think has the best collection? Thanks in advance!
